Not only is carpet a big investment and an asset which needs to be protected, it is also a giant filter. Carpet fibers are constantly filtering particles such as dust, dead skin cells and other allergens from the air. These particles become lodged in between the fibers and can cause a number of problems.
Dust mites live on the dead skin cells, which we can’t avoid falling onto the carpet surface. Interestingly, as humans, we are not allergic to the dust mites themselves, its their faeces (poo) which are very small that impact greatly on the air quality in our homes. Deep carpet cleaning removes not only the particles the dust mites feed on and the dust mites themselves but also their faeces which improves the indoor air quality, the standard of living and the health of any affected persons.
We can also apply a protective solution to your carpet, or upholstery, which prevents the dust mites from returning. Feel free to call for any information or advice.
The dust and other gritty particles in your carpet can also cause more problems. Abrasion, yes the dirt in a carpet, is like sand paper rubbing away at each carpet fiber, changing the carpet’s texture and appearance leaving it, sometimes irreparably, damaged. Periodic professional carpet cleaning will remove these abrasive particles. This will dramatically extend the life of your carpet.
Of course the main reason for having a carpet cleaned, apart from it’s value and the health benefits, is it’s appearance. None of us want a dirty carpet detracting from the rest of our clean house. I am confident I can bring even the dirtiest carpet back to life!

No. Professional carpet cleaning will not make your carpet get dirty more quickly. The reason people think this may happen is because of some of the techniques used in DIY carpet cleaning and old fashioned carpet cleaning. Many old fashioned carpet cleaners would use the shampoo method. They would apply a foaming shampoo on the carpet which would surround and hide the dirt. This shampoo was meant to dry and be vacuumed away later when you vacuumed your carpet. The problem is rather than dry properly, the shampoo would leave a sticky residue which would act as a dirt magnet attracting more dirt to the carpet. I do not use the shampoo carpet cleaning method! DIY carpet cleaning systems also often leave a large amount of detergent in your carpet, which again will act as a dirt magnet, meaning your carpet will get dirtier quicker and so will need cleaning sooner, None of our carpet cleaning systems will leave a sticky dirt attracting residue in your carpet!
We have all the different types of carpet cleaning equipment at our disposal, which means we are not tied to one particular method so we are able to clean your carpet using the right method for your carpet’s individual needs. 90% of the time we chose to use the Hot Water Extraction method of carpet cleaning. This uses a very powerful machine to suck the dirt from the carpet fibers giving the deepest possible clean.
Our other methods include low moisture and very low moisture (dry) carpet cleaning. But whatever the type of carpet we believe in using the right tool for the job.
With the Hot water extraction method of carpet cleaning your carpet will normally be dry within 2-4 hours. Natural fiber carpets or very dirty carpets may however take 6 hours.
With the low moisture carpet cleaning system carpet can be dry in as little as 20 minutes to 1 hour!
